Coco Flip, a Naarm/Melbourne-based design studio, has collaborated with local ceramicist Belinda Wiltshire to create the Dancer lighting collection. Belinda, a multidisciplinary artist who shifted from painting to clay, embraces a spontaneous, playful approach in her work. Her signature hand-painted stripes of black iron oxide hint at Bauhaus influences while celebrating the warmth of a handmade touch.

A Collaborative Journey
Coco Flip’s philosophy centers on openness, dialogue, and championing local makers. In partnership with Belinda, they spent months refining prototypes, integrating light into sculptural forms, and balancing both artistic expression and functionality.

The resulting Dancer pieces convey a sense of motion—echoing Belinda’s freehand stripes and her joy in discovery. By adding light, Coco Flip and Belinda have expanded the possibilities of ceramics, creating a collection that fuses form, surface, and illumination.
