Programa's Biggest Updates Yet Arrive in Q3

At Programa, we believe software should continuously get better. The design industry is evolving quickly, and our job is to move even faster.

Over the last few weeks, thousands of presentations have been shared with clients through Programa, we’ve shipped more than 80 improvements to Presentations since launch, and we’re investing heavily in the next generation of tools for design studios.

As we head into Q3, our focus is concentrated around four major areas: Schedules 3.0, Studio Operations, Brands, and AI.

Presentations are getting faster every week

It’s been less than a month since Presentations launched, and the response has exceeded our expectations. Thousands of presentations have already been sent to clients, helping us quickly identify opportunities to improve the experience.

Since launch, we’ve shipped more than 80 updates and improvements. Presentations now load up to 80% faster, we’ve introduced a dedicated Presentations area in the navigation, and we’ve added templated styles to help studios create consistent presentations across every project. This is just the beginning, and you’ll continue to see rapid improvements throughout the year.

Schedules are the heart of Programa. They connect specifications, approvals, procurement, invoicing, payments, and project management into a single workflow. They are also where much of a studio’s intellectual property is created and maintained.

Schedules 3.0 is the largest product investment we’ve ever made and, in our view, the most important thing we’ve built since launching Programa.

At its core is a simple idea: one schedule for every project. Instead of splitting information across multiple schedules and exports, you’ll have a single source of truth that can be organised however you need. View products by room, supplier, status, payment status, or create entirely custom views for builders, clients, procurement teams, and internal staff. The data stays in one place while the way you view it becomes infinitely more flexible.

Sharing information becomes dramatically simpler. Create a view for a builder and share it. Create a view for a supplier and share it. Show or hide pricing, notes, and fields with a few clicks. Rather than maintaining separate schedules for different audiences, one schedule adapts to everyone.

We’re also introducing a new approach to revisions and version control. Instead of emailing PDFs back and forth and trying to figure out what’s changed, anyone with access to a schedule will be able to quickly understand the latest updates and revisions.

We’re rethinking how schedules look as well. Sometimes people need detailed data. Sometimes they need imagery. Sometimes they need both. Schedules should adapt to the task at hand rather than forcing everyone into the same spreadsheet-style experience. At the same time, we’re introducing a dedicated Power Editor for teams that need to make bulk changes quickly across large projects.

This new foundation also unlocks many of the capabilities studios have been requesting for years, including fulfilment workflows, shipping management, nested products, and more powerful procurement tools. Schedules 3.0 is much more than a redesign. It’s a new foundation for how projects are managed inside Programa.

Running a successful studio requires far more than managing products and specifications. There are contracts, retainers, financial workflows, profitability tracking, project controls, and countless operational processes that happen behind the scenes.

Throughout Q3, we’ll be making significant investments in Studio Operations, helping studios manage more of their business inside Programa. Our goal is simple: fewer disconnected tools, fewer spreadsheets, and a clearer picture of how projects and the business are performing from start to finish.

One of the most challenging parts of a project often begins after the design work is complete. Obtaining quotes, comparing suppliers, managing revisions, coordinating procurement, and keeping everyone aligned can quickly become one of the most time-consuming parts of the process.

Throughout Q3, we’ll be investing heavily in making collaboration between designers and brands dramatically simpler. Expect significant improvements to quoting, procurement, supplier collaboration, and the workflows that connect product selection through to purchasing and delivery.

AI and our approach

We’re continuing to invest heavily in practical AI tools that help studios save time and reduce repetitive work. Over the last quarter we’ve launched Meeting Notes and significantly improved Smart Search, making it easier to find information across your projects, products, suppliers, and schedules.

In Q3, we’ll continue building on that foundation. Search will become more intelligent, allowing you to find information using natural language. Pulse will become more proactive, helping identify issues, recommend actions, and keep projects moving forward. You’ll also see AI become more deeply integrated throughout Programa, from product recommendations to workflow automation and studio intelligence.

Our focus remains the same: practical AI that helps your team spend less time on administration and more time designing.

We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead. Q3 represents one of the largest investments in product development in Programa’s history, and we can’t wait to start putting these tools into your hands.
